How Much Does Shopvana Cost to Use?
Businesses can pay monthly or subscribe to create and broadcast offers. Subscription tiers determine the number of offers, broadcasts, and additional features available each month.
For in-app payments, we use Stripe, which charges 2.9% plus 30 cents per transaction, paid by vendors. Shopvana does not take any commission on purchases, whether in-app or in-store.
For consumers, the Shopvana app is free to download and costs nothing to use.
What is a Shopvana Offer?
A Shopvana offer is an instantly available deal, not an "update" or "ad".
An offer can include a product sale, a special meal or deal at your restaurant, a new spa service, discounted parking, show tickets, or available reservations. The options are endless.
Your subscription plan determines the number of offers you can create, and number of offer broadcasts you can send.
In addition to the offer name and description, be sure to include eye-catching images and a catchy tagline, to draw extra attention. You can even include a video link.
You can also let customers know what makes the offer special or unique. A few examples:
- A restaurant can boast about using local ingredients; a bakery can promote their organic, gluten-free, or vegan treats.
- A salon can let customers know about a special new facial treatment, with appointments available tomorrow.
- A concert venue can alert music lovers about the last few remaining tickets, or reserved parking.
Finally, you can also let customers know what makes your business special. Show off that you have on-street parking, offer gluten-free treats, are minority-owned, etc.
Does an Offer Need to Include a Price?
Not necessarily.
While some offers can be purchased in-app, other offers are created to get customers in the door.
If you want to enable in-app purchases, simply assign a price to your offer. This could be $24.95 for Valentine’s Day roses, or $200 for an HVAC winterizing tune-up. If quantities are limited, you can control how many offers can be purchased. In-app purchases are made through Stripe.
An “In the door” offer has a $0.00 price. These offers could include restaurant reservations, two-for-one deals, 20% off in-store purchases, etc. After these “priceless” offers get your customers in the door, handling payments is up to you.
What is a Current and Library Offer?
When you first create an offer, you can make it current (active) immediately, or store it in your Offer Library and make it active later. An active offer is broadcasted out immediately, in real time, to all Shopvana app users in your target area. Active offers also appear in app user feeds.
What is a Shopvana Broadcast?
When you’re ready to notify customers about an offer, a broadcast is how you get the word out.
You can broadcast whatever to wherever, whenever you like. We don’t create or edit your broadcasts - what you send is up to you.
A Shopvana offer is an instantly available deal, not an "update" or "ad".
A broadcast can be sent just once, or it can be repeated on a set schedule. For example, a “first Friday” happy hour discount offer at a pub can be broadcasted on the first day of every month.
Anyone with the Shopvana app will receive your broadcasts when they are physically located within the broadcast area.
And even if app users disable (or ignore) broadcasts, active offers will still appear in their app feed.
How Far Does a Broadcast Go?
A broadcast is sent to one or more ZIP codes, depending on your subscription plan. The broadcast will be sent to app users within a 7-mile radius within those ZIP codes.
Can I Broadcast From Areas Other Than My Own?
Yes! That’s what proxy addresses are for.
If your primary business address is in one neighborhood, but you have a pop-up location elsewhere, you can create an offer that targets the pop-up neighborhood.
What if I Want to Broadcast an Offer Anywhere in the US?
Not a problem!
If you’re willing to ship or deliver long-distance, simply create a Nationwide offer. Shipping is included in your Vendor Dashboard.
Or, if you don’t have a specific ZIP code in mind, you can take advantage of the Shopvana Insights Page, to see where there is the highest demand for your particular offer type, as well as concentrations of app users shown on our Heat Map.
How Can I Let My Customers Know about Shopvana?
Your current customers, including your "regulars,” will certainly want to see what you’re offering on Shopvana. You’ll also want to spread the “Find us on Shopvana!” word to potential customers living in or visiting your area.
Here are some ways you can let customers know about the Shopvana app:
- Add the Shopvana logo and link to your website.
- Include the Shopvana logo and link in all social media presence.
- Place Shopvana stickers in prominent places in your store, restaurant, or physical plant. Our stickers include QR codes for easy app download.
